I think I'm the only person that actually kinda dug the remake. I was able to enjoy it without comparing it to the OG.

I thought it was very good for what it was, and did a good job updating the social commentary and making it relevant for today.

I don’t even think it was neutered. It just wasn’t as smart and that hurt it for me. If you’ve got nothing to say then you really shouldn’t make a robocop flick. I know he wanted to satirize drone warfare but it barely did that.

I liked it (have it on bluray)....its nowhere close to the OG but its nowhere near as bad as ppl thought it was gonna be.

Peter Weller is still alive if there is a sequel there is no reason not to bring him back.

That said Blomkamp is a one note director. He lost the aliens reboot, he made that garbage ass chappie and the garbage ass elysium.
He seems to be an excellent dp, but as a director he has no more stories to tell.

Too many people were quick to dismiss it for not being rated R. I was a little hesitant myself but I went to go see it without the mindset that I'll hate it and I enjoyed the movie for what it was.
