Why is that rule number one?

If you actually want to be in full control of whatever it is you're doing, you HAVE to be the one putting up the money. There's more risk there, sure, but there's also more control. Fact of the matter is, when you're using other people's money, you're not really the owner/boss, you're just borrowing their authority.

ay bruh i aint make the rules, dont shoot the messenger. i was just trying to give a speculative answer to breh's question as to where dames 30M's went

he used it to flip and create other businesses

he keeps it in the streets

this nikka is living in 2003

Macy's?

his business ventures failed cause he's living in the past

i got respect for dame,I really do. But it's really noticeable why Dame never achieved that level of success Jay did.
A friend of mine had a photography showing at the DD1972 gallery a while back in the city and he said that place was always empty except for openings. And just poorly run in general.
At this point, Dame has more flopped projects (Pro-Keds, Ultimate Hustler, DD Motor Oil, numerous others) than successes, but his succcesses trump those.
I respect the fact he latches on to stuff he believes in but the momentum just stops when he gets involved.

I know a lot of people who were involved in the DD172/BluRoc/Creative Control (and the magazine... screen-printing shop...)

It was a sloppy ego-driven situation that was going to shyt way before he lost the space.

I'm rooting for Dame, he's a legend who did so much for the culture... but he stuck in his ways.

Fully support him turning into rap trump caking off his brand and reality shows and social media presence... but facts is dude shot himself in the foot multiple times and all the artists who make the art he claims to protect are the ones who get screwed over unless they bounce before shyt gets too murky

the republican bit was funny.

I wish more black folks would just accept the fact that old school basic conservative principles are sound.
Its damn near impossible to be an entrepreneur (or just a motivated person) and be a down the line democrat.

The shyt you see on Tv is just theatrics in order to get votes.

some republican ideals are solid, on paper.:yeshrug:

but the disconnect comes in the action of the republican leadership, and thats what loses black folks, cuz it doesnt match whats on paper, IMO :manny:
oh and the whole racist vibe, that loses us too. :russ:

I know Curren$y and Mos left DD172/BluRoc pissed off... more needs to be done talking about all the fukkery with his artists in 2010... why "music left him"...
The Black Keys hated working with him, too. Dame had one of the most popular indie rappers and a band that immediately after became one of the biggest in the world in the fold and they both left upset with him. Dude really has to look in the mirror, man.

the internet
Then you don't know very many conservatives...seeing as how the guy who won their presidential nomination did so by just saying more racist and divisive things than all the other republican candidates...

Now this is the part where you tell me "but all those people voting for trump are not real republicans"

And this is where I tell you "of course they are real republicans...that's why they vote...republican"
bro stop watching Tv and The Young Turks...
...its why this country has so many dumb people.

You spend all your time listening to one point of view.

like i said...both parties appeal to the losers of the group.

Look where liberal politics got us.
They have us hooked on the government.
