I'd understand Punks stance more if the guy taking his spot wasn't one of the biggest draws in the history of the business and clearly a bigger draw than he was. It wasn't like Jeff Jarrett came back and was headlining Wrestle mania, it was The Rock. He should have asked HHH or Jericho about trying to go on AFTER a dream match between two megastars.

There is nothing to understand..the Rock took no one's spot because there is no Rock level attraction around. If Austin came back, he couldn't take The Rocks spot. The crowd can pop and cheer for the Undertaker as much as they want for WM weekend but he has never been anywhere near the Rock in status. The streak was a good selling point for fans that started to buy in the hype by 2005 but that was it.
