If you check out other MJ demos you'll see how we used to write songs like this, in Jacksonese where its all about a sound, a groove and emotion. Words come after the feeling.

I'm upset at some of the comments on here. I expect the stupidity from people on Twitter but not on here. It's a demo. Rod isn't trying to be a singer. He's laying out the groundwork for MJ to come and polish it. And in this case, it was near perfect and all MJ had to do was not fukk it up. It's a DEMO.

This shyt is absolutely genius though. I’m actually shocked that people don’t know that this is exactly how most hit records are made. You hve the beat and the melody (that he’s humming) and then you write the lyrics to it. Michael’s vocals were just godly and made this track legendary. This is one of my favourite songs of all time so hearing this is a treat for me.

Exactly, Thank God Mike came through and made it a masterpiece. Rod Temperton is a legend, even he knew his voice was trash. He wasn't singing, he was just giving a frame for MJ to use.
