Tilman Fertitta Reportedly Will Buy Rockets from Leslie Alexander

Tilman Fertitta, the Houston-based CEO of restaurant company Landry's, Inc., has reportedly reached an agreement to purchase the NBA's Houston Rockets franchise from Leslie Alexander.

Mark Berman of KRIV first reported the news Tuesday. Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg confirmed the report, tweeting the Rockets will be sold for a record $2.2 billion.

Back in February of this year, Forbes had the Rockets valued at 1.65 billion.

But if the Rockets are gonna sell at +25% market value...then one can imagine what the Knicks and Lakers (whose competitive future is on the rise) might be valued at.
