My talking point is most definitely not stupid but hey, agree to disagree.. I didn't put that shyt in my body and hopefully nothing negative happens to those of you that did.

Stop arguing with people who got 5 or 6 booster shots.

Yikes, this was a comfy ass role. 100k for not much work?

He did 69 episodes of the show

142 episodes filmed so far, thats 73 episodes he could have gotten paid for. let's assume he didn't get a raise, thats at minimum 7.3 Million dollars in income before taxes he lost out on.

probably blacklisted from working on any disney backed project too. :huhldup:

Why because I refused to take some experimental vax that was created in a year???

covid is the most researched virus/disease on the planet

This is also an update of the race without COVID-19 (i.e. post from 2019): https://www.the-scientist.com/image-of-the-day/image-of-the-day--70-years-of-disease-research-66988

Am I old or is this illegible? Can’t read shyt

Please don't misunderstand, this is not an anti-science statement, on the contrary, but notice how Hypertension has always been high on the list, yet in about 19 out of 20 diagnosed cases the cause of hypertension is unknown. There is so much more to learn!

6/23
@helder_nakaya
I would say this applies to most of the top diseases. So much more to learn indeed

7/23
@JamesCranley
If ‘acquired immunodeficiency syndromes’ and ‘HIV infection’ were summated you would get a mini version of the covid peak

8/23
@helder_nakaya
You are right. The "redundant" terms came from a pre-compiled list of 500+ terms related to human diseases. There was no way to separate the first SARS from this one, for instance

9/23
@helder_nakaya
There are many many papers on cancer (but they were separated by different type of neoplasms).

10/23
@BrettLindenbach
Are these just terms that you though to look up, or does this include all human diseases? I noticed that hepatitis C was not included, although there was a large burst of pubs in the 1990s/2000s. Also, I saw separate categories for HIV and AIDS, was there any overlap?

11/23
@helder_nakaya
We got a list of 500+ terms related to human diseases... hepatitis C could be under HCV. Check the website and choose the infectious diseases option: http://scy70.sysbio.tools

@evelynedeleeuw
Brilliant dynamic graphing.
It’d be intriguing to index the bars against the (exploding) number of publication outlets; against competitive grants awarded to these conditions; and actual incidence.

13/23
@helder_nakaya
I would love to get this data (grant awards, funding per subject, etc)

14/23
@Toshiki_science
I was quite confused when I saw “Acquired Immunodeficiency” falling off a cliff and then seeing “HIV infection” at some point in the 1990s.

But where did all the resources come from to publish so many papers on COVID-19?! 🤯

15/23
@helder_nakaya
That's right. We let the 500+ terms related to human diseases "compete" in this crazy race... even if they were redundant or the pathogen/disease

16/23
@ZamboniLab
@helder_nakaya can you make this excluding review articles? It eill be nice to see for covid papers, as it seems to me that the favorite Researchers’ hobby during isolation was to write Covid review articles…

17/23
@helder_nakaya
Will do! And yes, the ratio review/research article for covid was atypical.

18/23
@Tim_Sparwasser
PS: I still love this animation (and in fact I use the same argument to illustrate the increasing scientific importance of Tregs and Dendritic Cells in my talks). I'm just concerned about how 'easily publishable' topics are currently skewing impact factors as well...

19/23
@helder_nakaya
This is my major concern as well, Tim. In fact, the goal for downloading 30M+ articles was to expose with graphs that more papers, did not mean more knowledge (not to mention more wisdom).

20/23
@BettyB2007
I really wish to see this but it says content not available?

21/23
@helder_nakaya
Weird... try here Sci70

22/23
@KristoferHedman
Wonderful graphic! Are the numbers publications per year (thus not cumulative)? Did you search the title, abstract or complete articles for key words?

23/23
@helder_nakaya
Not cumulative indeed, Kristofer. We searched the MeSH terms associated with papers according to NCBI

billions of people have taken the covid vaccine, how experimental do you still think it is?

why is it you believe the MRNA covid vaccine causes negative effects long after it has been taken when spike proteins are introduced to the body allowing the immune system to develop antibodies to defeat it? how can covid cause problems within days or weeks of getting it but the vaccine which just had spike proteins and not covid will cause problems months or years later?

adverse reactions to vaccines are seen within 1-3 weeks not years.

Good for him, for standing on his principles.
Disney’s lawyers, led by Maria Rodriguez of McDermott Will & Schulte, argued that Dunbar lacked credibility. She noted that Dunbar routinely takes synthetic testosterone and anastrozole, which the leader of the Congregation of Universal Wisdom called “sacrilegious.”

Above the fray.
He got bad advice.Thought "on religious grounds" would work.
Legal teams behind these production companies know every way to stick a needle in that, including apparently knowing what he was putting inside his body.

If his agent was able to negotiate such a great deal for him for the series, I'd like to think that the fine print details have him getting decent money from streams and syndication.

Have to respect him for taking the stand, but thats the kind of stand you take when you've saved your money and are willing to walk away and pivot to something else.
Downgrade your lifestyle, and go back to theater.

9-1-1 has aired 124 episodes to date with no plans to stop in the near future. This dude was making $100k per episode (and probably would’ve gotten a raise), meaning he would have grossed at least $12.4 million.

He listened to idiots on the internet and threw it all away, all while injecting himself with steroids (which I’m sure were less safe than the vaccine :mjlol: )

Now he’s crying about being broke and having a family. The vicious cycle of a selfish moron. See you on Tubi, if you’re lucky, Rockmond :wow:

All good if that's what you believe.. But I'm sure you can argue your point without calling people stupid.. Makes you look insecure on your position.

How are you not stupid, if you keep repeating stupid ass disproven disinformation, four years after the vaccine was first approved by the FDA?
Hundreds of millions of people got the jab since then and serious side effects have been proven to be extremely rare and much less common than serious complications from covid. Thinking the vaccine was "experimental" was stupid back then, but understandable for people with low information and high exposure to disinformation. In 2025, you have to want to believe this bullshyt.

Anti-vaxxers are on the same stupid boat as Maga members.

No, but it means you're just as stupid.

When did this forum become a safe haven for spineless b1tchmade cowards cheering for another man who chose to have a spine downfall? Yall dudes really are some b1tches. :camby: same losers spending all day on here telling everybody how to be b1tchmade like them from how to be a b1tch when it comes to how to vote to what to wear. I would kill myself if I had to be one of you for a day.
