Welp, do your research breh. Marvin Gaye was ordered by a judge to use the proceeds from his Here My Dear album (which was his next album at the time) in a divorce settlement to Berry Gordy's sister. Marvin felt some kind of way and recorded an album full of spite records since it didn't matter what the content of the album had to be. It was the ultimate fukk you to her and the judge. The album, as expexted, wasn't a smash hit and only got the appreciation it deserved within the last 10 years.

But it's a great album and dude put his soul out there.

This is what i don't get... usually when you reach a settlement you gettin paid NOW as long as they have the money. but all this shyt is about future payments (no pun). Rocko reportedly only sued for 10 million. a settlement would have been less than 10 million. Does future not have the M's on hand?
