The thing is none of these rappers have money in the beginning. Despite their claims, most are just struggling artists that would be happy for someone to fund their projects.
That's the risk businessmen take dealing with artists. Soon as they blow, the Ego develops and all the sudden they act like they don't need you. Rocko had his paperwork straight so he eats regardless.
