if you don't have money to blow on your career, you go with the local/regional dude who got bread and a label... he just there to put a few thousand behind you and lock you in until you blow


when you blow the national/international label is going to buy your contract for a fee... a fee that gets the first dude paid a lump sum, or a future percentage or both... a fee that the artist is now paying off... twice




this is pretty much how every artist has got on but maybe 10 currently... and you'd be hard pressed to find 10

I remember all the people saying Rocko was set financially, but I don't see it.....Street money doesn't stretch as far, as Rocko has to be mid 30's, he wants longevity, and he sees it in Future, whether that is valid or not, or whether he is entitled is another story. I expect this to be addressed in a warbling one or two lines by Future over the summer....

its all in relation to who are you comparing money with..Rocko is way more than straight for a regular dude but amongst millionaires thats different...
