God forbid people have the self respect to be bothered when someone uses a word historically used to demean and denigrate them. I insinuated that in the rest of my post. I have this argument with a friend who is white who justifies using the n word because he tries to say there are n words of every color, but I tell him it's unfair to use the word and paint everyone with a broad brush. Only a small percentage of urban population commits crime so I tell the guy the word is unacceptable and just because crime rate is higher doesn't justify the word in any way
