Should Never Mention Me
To those running with the rhetoric that those booing Roman are cornball neckbeard smarks that don't know anything and that somehow, someway, Daniel Bryan isn't legit the most over person in the company and should be winning damn near everything just like the most over guys in the company before him I have a question.
Were the people that were chanting "Die Rocky Die" in '96 and '97 cornball neckheards? Should they have been cheering the bland, green, and forced push of Rocky Maivia? Should they not have been getting behind Stone Cold who had earned a reputation as a great worker on WCW's midcard, and now was developing the hottest character in the business?
The WWF was just trying to make a new star, should they have just cheered him because they were told to because it would be something different than HBK, Shawn, and Undertaker running the main event?
Was the WWF wrong for realizing his push was a failure, repackaging him, and bringing him up to the main event only after he had comprehensively proved himself in all facets of the game for a year?
