Herbert hasn't proven anything. Rodgers has at least 4 more season of 4,000 and 30 tds. You can draft another Herbert in 5 years when Rodgers retires.

Sounds like we might be having this same convo in 15 yrs in Love is that guy then. Just because it's what they always do doesn't mean it's the right choice they thought Rodgers didn't have this left in him coming off a conference championship run and they made the wrong choice imo.

You have draft capital tied into the backup, and semi-long term salary capital tied into the starter, and he doesn’t look like he’s on the way out. I was only a kid back then but this seems like it could be a much tougher situation/transition than Favre>Rodgers.

The Packers aren't that far off and i don' think know is the time for Rodgers to try and get with another team. Now if they fall short again next year we may be talking a different story then. But right now they need to get him another receiver and some help on the line and the Packers will be right back in the mix next season.
