but the interracial marriage fear is laughable. its not just black and white people in america. republicans arent just gonna bar asians and hispanics from marrying outside their race :mindblown:

I can't insert the quote, but you didn't believe they would overturn Roe back in 2016. Don't put anything past these people. Alito has essentially declared that he wants to get rid of Obergfell. I doubt he'd get much resistance from the rest of the right wing justices. After that it's contraception, then Lawrence, then Loving.

As you have said here, overturning Loving would likely have little impact, because virtually no lawmakers would make IR marriage illegal, and I doubt LEOs would enforce it. There are likely old laws on the books in the south, though.

She's being used as a scapegoat. The future of America shouldn't depend on when one woman retired. Maybe if half of the country didn't vote in a reality star, then vote to keep the Senate majority Republican two years later, then vote to keep a razor thin margin in both houses two years after that....maybe we wouldn't have had to worry about one woman making it to her 88th birthday.
