Why is the NBA the alternative for the boycott? Didn't they do this same thing years ago with NBA Jam sharpshooter Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf?

...or is the league exempt for what Bron, Wade, CP3 and Melo on-stage at the Espy's?

If I recall correctly, the NBA actually fines players for not standing for the anthem.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell maintains the league has no role in Colin Kaepernick remaining an unsigned free agent heading into the 2017 season.

According to Luke Jones of WNST, Goodell said that each of the 32 teams has made a "football decision" to avoid signing the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

"He can't be [blackballed] because we're not," Goodell said, per Jones. "The clubs are making those individual evaluations."

The 29-year-old is coming off a solid individual season for the 49ers, throwing 16 touchdowns with four interceptions in 12 games (11 starts). He also added 468 rushing yards and two touchdowns. However, he has become a divisive figure in the sports landscape because of his decision to kneel during the national anthem as part of a protest against police brutality.

Several teams have at least considered signing Kaepernick over the course of the offseason, with the Seattle Seahawks bringing him in for a visit before going in another direction.

Baltimore especially needs help at quarterback with starter Joe Flacco currently dealing with a back injury that might keep him out three to six weeks, per Ian Rapoportof NFL Network.

There are still other options if the Ravens don't sign Kaepernick, and things can certainly change if there are injuries in training camp or the preseason.

:russell:...............why even entertain this bullshyt. We all know they kicked the dude out for going against the grain. Its better to keep the racist fans happy then to honor the ones who are getting killed for no reason..........fukk THE NFL

Take a look at the NFL's 2016 passer rating stats, ignore passers w/ less than 100 passes (those are backups and they'll usually sneak in a few good games before they get "figured out"). NFL Stats: by Player Category

There are a lot of star QBs with worse ratings; Eli Manning, Cam Newton, etc. Kap is middle of the road, but that TD/INT ratio is excellent. He should have a good 1/3/ of the league looking at him to start never mine just play :scust:

I myself don't believe the 32 owners sat at some banquet table with Goodell at the head talking about some
"So...:mjpls:...Colin Kaepernick...:demonic:"

But the racism from the fans made the dozen or so teams that could use him keep him in the bushes. This makes me wonder just how good his numbers had to be for him to have gotten picked up.
