Seems to me that he still has a ton of animosity towards the NFL, rightfully so.

I'm beginning to think that him taking the settlement was a mistake. He should have just road it out and said fukk it, they weren't letting him back in then, and they sure as hell ain't opening that door now.

:yeshrug:

i have a homegirl that in the past worked with the same law firm that put together their agreement. She said that they likely had a button tight agreement forcing Kaep to keep shut.

He knew what he signed when taking that money. Smh....

He has no leverage in any of this yet felt the need to make demands to the media at his personal workout. It's a wrap unfortunately.

The tape came out being the only reason they did something. They were ok with it when it was noted publically by the court.

Please...don't spread flowers at the feet of the NBA.
Nope, tape had nothing to.do with that.
He was declared mentally incompetant and his wife sold the team.
The same wife who was just as guilty and worked hand in hand with donald in discriminating against blacks. The same wife the NBA allowed to have life time seats and parking with the clippers.

My knowledge of any sports is limited to 30 for 30 documentaries and HBO specials, along with that one sports show with Bryant Gumbel. Make it happen.

His stans only care about symbolic victories. Not tangible ones. Objectively he lost and has been getting bad advice from his circle of influence since this thing started.

I just have one question - Do you think that he really wanted to play again or in his heart of hearts he knew that his NFL career has been over so this was more symbolic to him?, I just think that with any job if you go against "the culture of the job" and are wrongfully terminated, a person knows that they will never work for that employer again even though they settle monetarily with the company. Idk- I'm not a sports watcher so I don't know the full circumstances about the ins and out of football, I'm only looking at it from a legal point of view. Curiosity, that's all.
Kaepernick was mostly likely never getting signed again. The NFL has no incentive. The ratings returned when he left the field are going up again with new stars like Lamar. The players stopped kneeling and formed a coalition with the NFL. Roc Nation came in and is handling their live events and any Kapernick energy went at Jay Z who ultimately could only ask them to give them a shot. The entire league is making more money, and Kaepernick isn’t talked about. Kap’s own lawyer said this thing was dead until they revived it. That is what the NFL clause was about (which was probably going to be thrown out in court if it got there but that’s another topic) - they wanted to get protection that he couldn’t sue them if he didn’t get a job from the workout.

I got called a sellout for pointing that out but I’m like the only person fluent enough in the law and not trying to be an activist when discussing the topic. The NFL would’ve fired their lawyers if they didn’t do the utmost to prevent a lawsuit. Because absent that workout, Kap has no contact with the NFL and no basis to launch a new collusion suit. He already settled the prior claims. If they were giving him a workout it was only going to be on the terms that he’s not suing the league for the aftermath. They have all the leverage. All they have to do is ignore him and make their billions. It is happening right now.
