What good is a black "journalist" if all they're doing is regurgitating what the dominant society deems acceptable? Of the black "journalists" who came under Roland's wing, how many went on to accurately report on the reality of being black in America and give analysis that is untethered from white liberal influence? What has electing black people done for the black community, exactly? You and others of your ilk are focused on symbolism, the type who react with giddiness at meaningless gestures that do nothing to stop the murder of black people by the police, that do nothing to remove the systemic barriers to capital for black entrepreneurs, that do nothing to improve the state of schools for black children, that do nothing to make it easier for black families to purchase homes, and so on.
