From what I see I don't think they caught fire. Looks like the scaffold is metal, the surface is wet. The smoke/sparks appear to be generated by the scaffold and the wet surface. However once their bodies released the grip on the scaffold a couple of them fell into unfortunate positions where they were basically getting shocked over and over again. Dude that survived the first wave had that issue after running into the scaffold again.

Bodies typically dont catch fire when electrocuted. What generally kills electrocution victims is CARDIAC ARREST. You body is an excellent conductor of electricity, but if the electrical current goes through the heart, there is a huge risk of the heart essentially stopping. This is generally what kills patietns. The guy that caught fire burned because his clothes lit up, not his body.

It doesn't work like that breh. When that current hits your body, your muscles will contract so there's no letting go voluntarily. Your body is primarily water so it doesn't help. That's why if someone is being electrocuted it's best to use an object that isn't a good conductor of electricity. Like wood (can't tell if the scaffold was bamboo or metal) or maybe even a running football tackle (if you're certain you can knock them off of it, if not you're gonna get cooked too). Anything with enough amps (like power lines), and what looks like a wet surface, and not paying attention is a recipe for death.

This explanation sounds like something out of 1000 ways to die :ohhh:
