Being by yourself is not a lifestyle. Its an inherent disadvantage, that comes from the fact that some of us are stubborn enough to think we know everything

Maybe some dudes been following the bandwagon and can't think for themselves. But thats a small problem compared to living in a reality determined by your own fears and values. Im done with that, Ive got to check up on the homies more often and the fam too

I'm 35. I'm divorced. Had petty beefs with childhood friends. I moved to a new city by myself 3 years ago.

My circle now is tight. I have probably a dozen acquaintances I can roll out with, but I truly only have 4 solid friends that aren't family, and even those friends I keep at arms length now.

I've been focused on my career, my side business, to a lesser extent my girl and I'm playing with the idea of going back to school.

That's all I'm worried about for the immediate future.

I had associate, tell me I'm his " boy" while lying to me about a situation all in the same breathe.

That is a mentally dangerous individual. Not worth the risk

Depends. It actually takes more will and discipline to foreclose on your past and keep it moving.
