As a fan of Pennington and a Vinny Stan I cant cosign this...that is the sign of a low football acumen...Chad could only throw 15 yards and was a statue in the pocket...Vinny did not have the mobility or pocket presence of Romo

Romo is a turnover prone choker at best

Take fitzpatrick and put romos arm on him

You got the same player

I would be beyond shocked if anybody traded for Romo. I guess it's possible but I just can't imagine someone wanting a player who's so :flabbynsick:
Vikings gave up a 1st rounder for Sam fukkin Bradford

Raiders gave up a 1st and 2nd for Carson Palmer who'd been at home sitting on his couch

When it comes to QB's, logic goes out the window

The version of right now Romo that they would be getting ? Options are endless there.

If you mean Romo had a better regular season career than any Jets QB, then yeah maybe, but winning counts for alot so Namath is an easy answer
I don't understand why you always want to use romo's corpse in these discussions. Obviously I'm talking about if he's healthy and able to play, which is the only scenario the Jets would trade for him. He'd be the best QB in NYJ's history on day one.

Romo is 3rd all-time in pass rating (97.1), Namath is 163rd (65.5).
65% cmp% vs 50%
247 tds vs 173 tds
34k yds vs 27k yds
Namath also has 100 more ints.

Winning counts when you admit Namath is also better than McNabb.

Neither were going to be 37/38 by the time they'd play a full season and neither broke 3 bones the last 3 games they played in.

I don't understand why you keep talking about present day Romo like its 2010.

If I'm talking about someone trading for present day Romo, I'm going to point out that he was terrible last year, is 36, is an eggshell of a man and immediately breaks when hit.

That guy is not anybody's best anything.

And you can list all the regular season #s you want, but in playoff and win to stay alive games he's horrible. Lost at least 75% of those games, played hilariously bad in the majority of those games and had elite offensive weapons for his whole career. His failure is unprecedented.

Also don't talk about McNabb. Nothing gives you that right

Do you think the Jets would trade for him if they had the same view of him as you do? Do you think the Cowboys would sit Dak if they thought he was terrible and incapable of duplicating his 2014 performance? There is obviously hope within the organization that Romo can heal up and return to his former self. Maybe not 100% but 80% of Romo is better than anything the Jets have which is the whole point of this discussion.
