Someone fill me in, wasn't catching up with it. Why didn't Rondo work out with Dallas?

I still think he could be a difference maker if motivated and with the right team:yeshrug:.

He's ass right now but he literally has not given a fukk in the last 3 years.
Still dont want him on the Lakers cause i dont want them to overpay and i dont like ball dominate pg play but im not just gonna jump on the "Rondo has always been trash" wave cause it isnt true:manny:.

Dallas was just the worst possible fit for him and he's also one of the most difficult son of a bytch in the league. But this doesnt discredit what he was able to do in Boston imo

While I agree with most of this post, I fail to see how Dallas is such a terrible fit.

He's just playing poorly and being a head case.

That and Carlisle has made no effort to make Rondo feel welcomed/get comfortable in that offense.

Rondo's attitude has been cancerous but Carlisle's leadership and lack of flexibility was the genesis of this situation.

What did he do? I'm completely out of the loop in all things basketball this season. I didn't even know he was in Dallas until the playoffs started.

I hate how Rondo is playing now is used to discredit what he did in Boston. He was great in those years. Let's chill with this in the moment shyt. And I fukking hate Rondo. All time most hated fukkboy in the NBA. But it is what it is.

Yeah the fukk right

Rondo and Doc both ruined the Big 3 (Paul, KG, and Ray's) chances of winning more titles.

Notice how in 2008, Rondo didn't have the biggest role, and yet the Cetlics won effortlessly

Good riddance

rondo will be back next year brehs dont trip.

Yeah he cant shoot, but he was once one of the better defender at the point guard position and one of the better playmakers in the NBA. put him on a team with some shooters and he will get them open looks.

nikkas talking about rondo aint shyt without three HOF'ers but in 2011-2012 season rondo averaged 17/12/5. thats damn good anyway you look at it. :yeshrug:

I think rondo can make a comeback but he is what he is. A guy that HAS to be in the right situation (slow paced offense witht he ball in his hands with multiple shooters on the floor) and he will deliver.

rondo was a good player back int he day, dallas was just a bd fit and i called it back when they first traded for him :wow:

Dude, you couldn't be any more incorrect. You've clearly not watched the Celtics since 2008.

Rondo was the main reason why the Celtics were competitive from 2010 onwards and made it to the ECF in 2012. He was carrying an aging squad deep in the playoffs (and almost back to the Finals).

I agree with almost everything you said except this: Rondo can thrive in an up-tempo offense. In 2011, it was clear that Rondo was being held back by Doc from running an up-tempo offense because he had to be mindful of the Big 3 who were clearly aging and past their prime. I think Rondo can succeed in both fast-paced or slow-paced offenses.
