i love rondo's skillset with the ball - but when your primary ball handler can't even force teams to guard him outside of 18 feet, then you've fundamentally handicapped your entire team. dallas has a great coach and will get the most out of rondo by far, but he's gonna stop treating every offensive set like he's the center of the universe if he wants to help that team win.

This is completely different, Ainge has the Celtics in a great place now, potentially 2 lottery picks and 2 other first rounders next year is just the start.

They're potentially in a great position but that's all it is. Potential. Sometimes players don't fulfill their projections, losses keep piling up, coaches decide they want to go in a different direction. They're in a much better position than BK or maybe NYK, but how long will fans, especially in Boston, be patient?

His defense has fallen off a lot. And you can tell he got way too used to KG being behind him on defense... Chandler should help with a lot of that though.

Even with that, he's still 100000000000x better than Rondo is. Paul is still arguably a top 10 player in the game, Rondo probably isn't even top 50.
