Rondo averaged 9 and 7 on 37% percent shooting, but rondo stans will tell it like he was the reason the Celtics won the chip that year. You could've put any competent PG on that squad and they were winning it that year.

I don't get why people are obsessed with triple doubles so much. He dominates the ball the entire game and forces passes to his teammates for assists, but hey it looks good in the stat sheet.

You didn't mention half the game (defense), or their efficiency numbers And Rondo is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

Absolutely. No other PG would have impoved the Celtics as a team, when they already had RA, PP and KG as the main three options. Rondo provided everything they needed from a PG
