exactly!! this shyt 100% didnt have to spill out for 3 months. If they know they had a contract they could have got that dough and kept their jobs. That's what I've been saying too. This wasnt the worst decision but it damn sure was the 2nd worst nikkas kamakazi'd over books and ledgers that they could have just sued for without breaching contract and taking months off with. Thats the same shyt I said when people posted Ish's babymomma exposing him. She's trying to kill his income when she could just bring the pod with him on it to a lawyer, and get his unpaid wages garnished. The 19k he owes would be directly taken from either one of his sources of income.
Not only are cats not using their legal team regarding half a million dollars... they are also choosing not to make any money instead of contractually fixing the shyt easily. Rory trying to fight Joe shows he had no clue what he's doing. If he already has his contract with the % in it, he wouldnt even have to be mad at all. If Joe cried poor and hid the money they would put a lien on his house to pay Rory and Mal They pretty much played right into Joe's hand by only grabbing money they already made while still getting fired. Getting money you already should have gotten isnt a win. That was literally your bread in the first place. You basically had a guaranteed sports contract but you voided that shyt by not knowing what you're doing.


there's still alot of pieces that dont add up like going to therapy together, "trying to keep it real" instead of "keeping it right", showing up after 2 months off...all buddy buddy knowing dude robbed you, having that Shultz studio shyt lined up. Joe isnt dumb enough to disappear bread when they have a contract. Some other shyt is lined up 100%. People can call me dumb or wild, I'm just stating my opinion. I wouldnt be surprised if all of these dudes on each studio arent working together to create fake beef and more money. Charlamagne, Shultz, Joe, Akademiks etc arent dumb people. They've already dabbled in that lane and saw how profitable podcast beef was. Joe barks on people very calculated, it makes it easy to believe he's wreckless when he's anything but that. Too much of "the end of the story" doesnt add up and all of them dudes talk to eachother behind the scenes. Its like watching a well calculated bank heist where they all meet up in the same safehouse at the end.

I’ve only seen clips so far, will watch the full thing later but a few points...

1. I had assumed they were on salary. Joe didn’t seem like the type to offer percentages, for the same reason Rory mentioned lol. This piece of information changes the game for me.

2. Working in finance, there really isn’t a logical explanation for 400k going missing. That being said, Joe uses a firm to do his quarterly accounting. Firms aren’t going to help a small business cook the books. So if the books are cooked, it would have to be Ian and Joe outsmarting an accounting firm. Do I buy that? Not really. It’s possible but would be a lot of work.

3. Flip side argument: Joe comes from an industry known for creative, bullshyt accounting: the music industry. Could he be applying similar tricks with a small business? Ian is his manager from the music industry days, he knows the game. Like I said, I’d expect an accounting firm to blow this up but I’ll watch the video and hear the argument.

4. What if the books are clean but Joe presented faked/edited numbers to Rory and Mal? I just thought of this while typing. This would be a good way to bullshyt without going to jail (right away).

This is exactly why you should have watched the whole thing instead of offering opinion before you finish watching it LOL

Let me know if I'm buggin or not but is it wild that I think Rory & Mal could actually have a moderately successful podcast?

You'd have to have specific tweaks since neither one is a lead mic, coming in late and trying to wing it like the JBP and look for magic is a disaster. Like somebody said before, it could be a guest heavy podcast just like Drink Champs that way they wouldn't have to worry about leading the convo. Let the guest lead each episode and you chime in with relatable experiences off their shyt.

It wouldn't be 2018 JBP but whatever's left of JBP isn't getting back to that either. If Mal and to a lesser extent Rory can freely shoot the shyt now without background noise and be interested again, this shyt could work with the right format.

Isn't Mal cool with them Gillie & em, he's basically a long lost brother to what they got going on. Rory can "fade back to white" if he needs to, but I'm telling you those two could be a success on their own, it's just crazy bc you wouldn't think so around Joe. He's that much better than both at broadcasting but they don't need to be Joe Budden to pop.

And it's crazy seeing the support these two are getting, Joe didn't plan for that. He didn't plan for Kevin Hart to psychoanalyze and call him a poor leader publicly, long time fans are going at Buddens and running him off Live lol. They got Joe so aggy he's telling them he never asked for the fans money/support. That support is there for the taking, you just need the right format that gets the most out of those two.

I'm looking at the channel views for Pull Ups now. They vary widely based on who he's interviewing. The Lil Baby Pull Up has 1.9 million views, while the Big Sean and Vince Staples ones have a million plus.

However the Wale and Teyana Taylor both have around 550K. Omarion's one only has 375K. B.O.B. Pull Up didn't even crack 200K.
