It was a #38 hit with shoddy Def Jam backing, and Busta Rhymes being the lone rap feature. By comparison, Quavo, “the Beyoncé of Migos”, had more than 30 producers, every possible mainstream artist in music including Madonna (Madonna), Drake and Cardi B, and “sold” less 100K, which included only 6K being in regular sales. That includes 4 singles, 3 of which failed miserably and one peaking LOWER than “Pump It Up”. So you’re correct, let’s not do this

He’s a narcissistic sociopath, always has been. That return ep with Rory and Mal was a dead giveaway. He’s even said before that he likes therapy because it shows him that he likes some of his emotional flaws. Everything is about becoming a better emotional manipulator, and I’m not surprised this may have manifested into criminal behavior.

Joe’s a shytbag but let’s not revise history. His first album sold almost 100k first week when people were actually leaving their homes to legitimately purchase albums instead of using “album equivalent unit” metrics for “sales”. And he got critical acclaim for his Mood Muzik series. He’s a punchline now and a generally bad person, but he definitely had musical success.

Everybody sold records in 2002/2003. He had one hit song that is synonymous with the sound of that time. But afterwards his career went to shyt.

it was actually Mal who was with him recording escape route in a hot ass studio with no AC in the summer sweating on blogtv for 8+ Hours to record like 2 songs. Mal was running his blogtv for him while he was he in the booth interacting with the fans.

I feel his past stuff was before mainstream eyes were on him so he lowkey got a pass

and recently when he went in on big companies ppl didn’t care cuz it’s big corps

this the first time mainstream/casual ppl have seen him screw over close friends in real time while being the biggest he’s ever been

he’ll be fine financially but his words won’t hit the same as before

I don’t think Joe is a sociopath and I think that word is thrown around far too much without people really knowing what it means. I DO think he’s extremely narcissistic tho. That’s clear as day to see. Someone like 50 Cent. He’s strikes me as a sociopath who has to force emotions of empathy. The only true emotions it seems like he has is anger, jealousy, revenge etc etc. all of those seem to make him the happiest when he’s executing them.

If even half of this stuff is true I fully understand why Rory wanted to fight and Mal kept focusing on respect and friendship

All jokes aside this dude came into the rap game with a hit song and thought he'd be loved.

Spent the next two decades getting clowned by rappers he idolizes, fukked over by labels, embarrassed on the internet more that ANY rapper i can think of in history in the harshest of ways (beat up, proposal turnt down, etc) all of his women get snatched by other celebs.

I've known nikkas to leave town for the rest of their lives if even 1 or 2 of these things happened to em publicly


All while being LEGITIMATELY mentally unstable, addicted to drugs, suicidal. If he didnt have a kid he prob woulda been gone long ago
