I am just surprised the deal was done so quick or maybe the year went by quick
i don't listen to it because Joe annoys me, but it definitely been on there for a year if not more.

it's like when Stern went to Sirius or Desus and Mero moved to Showtime. the money might be great, but it will narrow the audience and have an impact on your shows relevancy. if that sort of thing matters to you then
Budden specifically strikes me as someone who would be doing this shyt for free, he an attention whore, so the money probably doesnt matter to him.
bolded is real af. I used to listen to every Budden podcast when it was on iTunes. When it moved to spotify I used to check it when I could but really I couldn’t be bothered to listen to podcasts in multiple apps. I don’t even know where Budden is going next but I can’t be bothered to go outta my way to listen to the pod.

Joe Budden sees that his podcast is being undervalued by Spotify, and Spotify doesn't want to increase their pay in the upcoming contract. Budden announced he's leaving the exclusive deal and probably pushing to have the show streamed on all platforms.
They renegotiated it for more - but not enough, in Joe's opinion - in comparison some of the massive deals less popular podcasts are getting on the platform.
He's right - but he's not Joe Rogan popular - so I'm not sure how much he expects.
