I'm a reviewer and this is troubling. It makes us seem untrustworthy.

I used to do market research for movies. I get everyone's first reaction is to just say "well I never care about audience or critic reviews" but a shyt ton of people go to movies solely based off of these review sites.
I remember one question at the end of our standard surveys was along the lines of "what is the lowest rotten tomatoes score this movie could have where you'd still see it in theaters".
If these findings are legitimate, there should be legislation drawn up to stop this stuff from happening cause it is manipulative. Just cause it's entertainment doesnt mean this isnt big business

You know what's weird when did RT become this megacorps face of reviews? It seemed to just happen and no one seemed to question it until now.
Of course... Y'all remember the blasphemy when ign gave mass effect 3 a perfect score in the review but didn't mention the ending at all and fans trashed the shyt outta them
it's a big fact that these conglomerates and game companies colluding with these reviewers...

My advice don't listen to the critic review trust the fans because they have very little to lie about ..
not necessarily true. ppl will lie in unison to protect a culture and not have to deal with change. nba 2k was miles ahead of live from the beginning. took the public years to catch up.
critics were trepidatious about saying it outright for fear of upsetting the fans and losing viewership.
i don't think theres a rubric to trust besides your own critical thought and feelings, and time. the truth isn't as elusive as ppl's inability to cope with change.

I don't even give a fukk about reviews on Amazon, much less some movie shyt. All I care about is how I felt when I watched the movie. I barely read them now.
tbh reviews should just be an overview of what you're getting yourself into. Not a ranking of a film / videogame / album.

I addressed this way back with the bash Alita and praise Captain Marvel situation in early March. I knew there certain franchise's Disney had to protect at all cost.
We saw this with the Chappell’s special, all the critics on RT hated it, but we all loved it
