damn hawaii sounds dismal as hell based on these stories y’all sharing smh
nah didn't mean to give that impression. as wild as it sounds, random fukkery genuinely never makes it way to you if you're moving right.

its one of the best places i've ever been. everything i mentioned negative in here is basically the entirety of my negative experiences of living there for 5 years. you can sit down at a bar and some of the most interesting, friendly people ever will just start a convo with you.
Aye let’s talk about how crazy these people is with they housing prices too… it be 1 million for a house built in the 50’s with 3 beds and one bath.

I know they be on that shyt out here but damn… aint no way
dead ass my last year living there someone knocked on my door and asked if they could rent out my balcony like it was a spare room. 600 a month :dead:

I’ve been out here on and off since like 2008 so this is my negative experiences sumned up basically

I got more but this is generally it. I’m not a scenery, hiking ass nikka so I’m pretty different compared to normal people.

Also I have a presence from what one of my ex’s told me. I look like a local in build somewhat but It’s obvious I’m not so how I’m treated might be different than you. I stick out… I’m not a tourist and I’m not a local so some people don’t know wtf I am.

even people I work with don’t recognize me out in regular clothes

So your experience may vary…. Hawaii is ok. Sometimes i feel blessed and sometimes I’m like fukk this place

I mean… it’s just not all sunshine and rainbows like people want to believe.

Now you can live in the fantasy of this place if you want… most people who come out here to “live” do.

I feel like the ones that move here and call it “paradise” hate where they come from and hate their families and shyt. I don’t so :yeshrug:

Hawaii sounds darker than I thought with these stories:picard:
It’s just no different than other places, just to a lesser extent.

Anywhere that has a high military presence or is a tourist location is like this. Hawaii just likes to hide it’s problems from the rest of the country because they depend so highly on tourism and their “aloha” image.

Image is everything out here. Most of it is just greed. People who are wealthy are greedy and the people living below poverty only care about money, just like everywhere else that doesn’t have a middle class
