The first not a beat it’s an intro. Glad you listened to both however. Goal achieved.Nah yall should have left the old beat and thread up cuz that beat even without the drums was still wayyyyyyyy better than this new beat. I'm just keeping it real. Not digging this beat at all.
My vote for Interloper remains the same.
I hear you but last time when it was me vs DBR*, the word was “bass distortion” so we judging the better beat or better production, because both times my beat been better.@Mugen
This is a chill vibe, and the mix is clean, but it lacks the energy, it's one of those instrumentals where you need to have an artist on it to add energy to it. The mix is actually cleaner than Interlopers, but with the relaxed energy. Try to add more texture by layering the drum sounds to give your drums more of a punch.
@Interloper I like the drums and sample chops you used they meshed really well. The only critique i have is that the master bus must be pushed to the limit. and the output didn't have to be that loud, but Loud mixes seem to be a staple in a lot of places. A better mix would put this on an even higher level.
great battle
My vote for this one is goes to @Interloper
Everything is judged. it's difficult to put a pulse on you have to go by feeling. It's difficult to win these things. When it comes to someone like a DBR who's been making beats for years, he has both quality mixing and interesting production. So you have to have both. It's ok if you felt your stuff was better both now and then. But overtime your ear will develop and you will start to here things in different ways, and you will then have a better understanding of why people voted the way they did. If you had slightly better production here along with the quality mix you displayed you probably would have had this as well for instance if you entered the intro track from the last thread and had smacking drums with a quality mix---well then this battle would have went different. Keep producing. you will get where you want to go eventually. When these things don't go your way, just remember the battles themselves don't really matter in the grand scheme of things.I hear you but last time when it was me vs DBR*, the word was “bass distortion” so we judging the better beat or better production, because both times my beat been better., this time the production was also better but hey I’m just a participant. Good shyt gang.
