DAMN at both of these :hhh:
Funny that Hype is flipping that You Remind me because it was just a cat in my DM's offering money for a good flip of this and I had been working on it :mjcry:
Also watching the Lil Homie JRB progress has been AMAZING and this beat is amazing and totally different from where he was hell a few months ago...we won't even talk about his sound from last tourney...:mjcry: hell I used one of his beats from that one on my last project :lolbron:
no way I can vote on this one yet. Hell I hate to see either of these tracks "lose"
great work Gentlemen...I'll be back for this one like Arnold :mjlit:

:whew:@franknitty711 !woo when i heard them drums kickin in after that spooky intro, it really catched my ear. Dope!
Vocals in the back are really cool cause not many people do that.

@The Unknown Hype, had a nice filtered sample in the back but somehow i felt like the drums didn't really mesh with it. The string is a nice addition.

Both of these sound dope in headphones :wow:. I can here all of the nuances :ahh:

Although skee-lo has the best flip of you remind me ive heard, unknown has the most interesting and creative by far:wow:, excellent work how you kept the integrity of the sample and added your own melodies to fit to a tee, only knock is maybe the drums were too stiff

Frank Knit:wow:

Captured the Memphis sound perfectly with the dark tone ( orange mound shout out :ohlawd:)

Sample is dope. And drums had their own vibe as well almost stealing the show from the sample imo.

I cant judge on mix because that's not my thing, and I enjoyed both beats. I give the edge to knit for the sample choice. Both of yall went in:whew:

I'll be back to vote for the rest of the rounds later today but I gotta give it to you @franknitty711 you came hard on this one. Definitely one of the cleanest mixes ive heard in a while.

I definitely couldve spent more time on the drums and the overall mix. I got all caught up in the melody since I ended up playing into it so much. I'll probably go back and clean up the mix a little more after this round is over. I see the coli aint playing this time around. Best believe i'll be coming even harder in the later rounds, I like how the beat came out in the end but I see im gonna have to make sure im on point at every level to come out on top in these rounds.

Listened again...
The only thing that i'm kinda missing is a bassline and a light reverb will mesh it on the drums. I think (That's All)

Had to change my vote cause i think this one would be the best by far if it was finished.

Dope battle, like the different approaches from both but I rocked with the vibe from Franks more. That shyt sound like it could be a dope interlude or intro.

good flip from hype, freaked it in an unexpected way.

You're cold with it breh, if you have more in the stash like that, i'd like to hear them. To be able to create that way is a gift.:wow:

Had to go with JRB on this one, this beat just make me screw up my face instantly. The background atmospheric sounds with the three six style vocal loops, the layer of sounds mesh together perfectly .. the piano comes in nicely. The drums hit as they should, the bassline enhances the greezyness of the beat.

Unknown Hypes track was fire, defo had that soulful chilled out vibe to it, as someone said on here previously, the loop seemed slightly out of sync with the drums towards to end of the loop. But its definately a creative flip of that sample, when I first heard the first few seconds I was thinking "this sample again?" but the way you filtered it and added your own sounds on top of it had like me "ok yeah, this is fire". The sound selection for the drums were great too, I think if the drums were merged with the beat a little more and the loop was in sync, that might have swayed it more in your direction.

Dope battle, one of the best for me.
