Got damn, this one prolly the closest one so far

Had to run back both twice.

Cory edged it out with the melody and the cleaner mix. Sounds like the evil boss theme for an anime.

Rod had a nice chill joint tho. Really killed the transitions at the end too.

dope battle. went with Big Rod on this one. That Boz Scaggs interpolation is still tough/was a top 3 production on the project it was on, Rod beasted on that entire tape. Cory's beat is ILL too. I dig the vibe. With the atmospheric tone to it I can see Smoke Dza on that shyt coastin' . Both beats highly account for themselves.

Rod fukking came through with a remake of one of my all time favourite soul tracks ... LOWDOWN .. BIG BOZ SCAGGS

I really wanted to vote for Rod on this basis but Cory came through with such a ill mix, sound selection, just falls nicely on the ears ... its such a ill beat on many levels

But tbh, it doesnt sound like a soul track to me
