Nice sample Spree. The break was nasty too, but your mix needed some work...it kinda took away from the beat a bit..

:wow: J

I love ya intro's..the drops/fades/warp u always use are dope. Dope sample, nice instrumentation, dope drums and clean mix. This beat is nasty.

Both yall beats was crazy.

Spree had a dope vocal sample chop. To me it sounded like something out of the College Dropout Era Kanye and I liked the part where you droped in the Breath in Stop drums cause I was wondering if you was gonna let it rock with thoe drums. But the Breath and Stop drums was a great change of pace and the way you was dropin em in and out was great.

"Yall both did all the little thigns to make yall beats stand out.

Nathan's shyt was crazy. Is that even a sample? shyt was ill. Drums was on point. The switch ups were great, That filter part where you was fadin in the drums and the outro part too.

I took nathans beat just cause If I had to choose a beat to rap to with a gun to my head I woulda took that one.

Another gret battle.

:huhldup:at both beats

very hard decision but I went with Nathan

Spree's beat had a Common-Be era vibe, drums were very smooth and overall the sound just meshed well. Nathan's track sounded big and open. Drums were foolish, and that sample was executed flawlessly. There is no loser here.

Literally the 2 best beats i've heard this round. This is too hard. I'll be back...

EDIT: Went with Spree. I was feeling the sample a little more. that "I Love Youuuuuuu" part @ 1:02 when the drums dropped was :damn:

When that dropped, the first thing that came to my mind was tips breathe and stop... lol

EDIT:

listening to Spree first..

when it kicks in the Breathe and Stop drums!! nice

I used them in round 1.. NICE

Great observation. I try not to look at any posts before I listen to the battle because I dont want any sub-conscience influence.

Imma go with J on this one. That sample stirred my soul. Could see Common on that joint... No doubt!:youngsabo:

This was a great battle. Got me knockin my head hear at work. :ahh:

Yall gonna get me fired! lol:steviej::damn:

Finally back to make my decision :damn: Ya'll didn't make it easy at all. I was loving both beats, i can't say nothing bad about either one. Like i stated earlier both of ya'll brought your A games. This was like a heavyweight battle. Nathan's prolly one of the most soulful beatmaker in this tourney IMO and both of ya'll are super versatile. Had go with Spree literally by a hair. Piano flip was nicely done and and went well with the drum pattern. :whew: Great Job fellas, something tells me you guys are gonna meet again.

:wtb: I don't even wanna vote on this one.

Literally, the hardest decision I've had to make in the tourney so far.

Since there's no tie option, I'm going with Spree. But I don't feel good about voting either way. That "I Love Yooooooou" part in Spree's beat is probably the highest level of excitement I reached while listening to either beat, especially when those Breathe and Stop drums broke in, I was :dead:

Best battle yet. to both y'all.

awfully , awfully close

but I went with Spree, loved how you made the vocal sound more like a feature than a sample, plus the beat is so chill :smoker:

J Nathan's was as serious as cancer as well, also very chill I had a feeling you sampled Sade, only because I'm a stan of her's/their's :pachaha: it was the way the horns sounded
definitely the best flip I've ever heard of one her joints :salute:

honestly could go either way, talented stuff all around
I'd cop both instrumentals on wax if they were available
