Kevin Kelly can't write shyt...lol. Shoot after shoot, by Austin, Jericho, Russo...the Rock created all of that stuff from scratch. Everybody wants a piece of the success once it makes millions. You nor anyone has ever heard the Rock give anyone credit for his segments. And we know damn well Austin would never lie about a guy beasting him in a segment..which happened all the time. In straight up in ring face off and segments, no one was gonna get the last word or outsmart the Rock. He had Nash nearly crying and turned the anti-Rock crowd pro by the end of the segment. There is no one that has the ability to do that..unless you bring cancer children into the mix.
Austin tried to son the shyt out of the Rock in a 2000 backstage segment but Rock bossed up on him and for the FIRST TIME EVER, the Austin character backed down and left the scene. That's when it was evident that Austin wasn't coming back as the #1 guy..he was gonna have to fit back in considering the pop it got.

Meh that's fine I don't care. But that promo, the shield interference and the cheesy re-start killed all the drama. Rock should've just beat Punk in a hard fought match with no corny shenanigans. It was overbooked.Didn't change that pop when he pinned that little dirty looking motherfukker though

The goal was to make to you think Punk's title reign was gonna continue and that Rock got shafted after all of that build up. You didn't like the antics that we often saw in the Atittude Era in that match? That's fine. I'm used to it. Punk still lost clean but it was just a false finish tossed in..people are used to seeing Cena squash and dominate around here, I guess they aren't used to different shyt these days. It's all good. Pop for that 3 count shows that the money was well spent for those that don't troll though.
That pre-match promo with The Rock was great, but I understand the frustration with it making the match feel kinda predictable. With that said, I still felt that Punk had a chance even after the promo.
