So did Logic really wash Royce like Royce said he did
Hell no. Half of it was talking, not rapping. The rapping wasn't that good.

This album is very good to me off one listen. I will agree the production could have been better, and the singing was a bit much sometimes, but, as usual, Royce's MCing is great. Em killed it, J. Cole was REALLY good (I hate J. Cole). Jada and Fab were good, too.

PROS
  • Elite lyricism
  • Royce showed some range by trying his hand with harmonizing and different rhyme patterns.
  • Stand outs are Woke (Caterpiller, Cocaine, Boblo Boat, & Summer On Lock
  • Got the best out of J. Cole, Eminem, & Logic
CONS
  • Woke had no business being 1 min. 33 sec.
  • Skits had too much talking to not be put in lyric form instead.
  • Wanted more Boblo Beat type beats

Man these beats are terrible, but I have minimal expectations when it comes to lyricist in general when it comes to beat selection.

Best Tracks imo: Caterpillar, Dumb, Cocaine, Boblo Boat, Legendary, Power.

Logic's remix was going so amazing, till he stopped rapping and started screaming Black White Black White.

Also like the homage to all the amazing artists on Strong Friend.

My fav tracks so far after first full, but disjointed listen are in no order:

Caterpillar
Boblo Boat
Outside
Power
Stay Woke

Also, Ionno how folks are saying the production is wack. It's quite possibly his overall best produced album. Some of the beats are a bit experimental, as is the singing on his part, which occasionally doesn't work for me, but overall, I highly like the album. One of the strangest beats on the album, has some of the best bars/flow on 'Legendary'. Very strangely enough, my 5 year old over heard it and asked to listen to it (queued it on the censored version) and she was really liking it and the Song with Jada/Pusha T. My lil girl is type awesome sometimes.
