My point is on songs that are just written to be hits, I'm sure most rappers receive some assistance. But those rappers have already proven that they can write. The difference is: while I have no problem believing that Drake is pretty much a rapper by committee these days, I also know that he can write, has written and continues to write.
He's already build a lot of capital with his earlier work and that's hard to lose. If proof ever comes out that he doesn't write his most introspective shyt, then I might reconsider but until then../
