The only area Lupe has clearly is lyrical complexity. Everything else is Royce or debateable.
And frankly that's "Barely", if at all.

:yeshrug:

Royce is actually a very, VERY competent rapper and I'm certain if ANYONE else spit half the shyt this dude
has, The Booth would regularly lose their shyt.
But he already gets the :mjpls: treatment because he jumps out hte window to defend Eminem ( or really anybody he considers to be one of his homeboys).

So there is a debate as to weather Royce was being literal when he rapped about shooting someone's son while holding sun chips.

:mjlol:

Royce played himself by not responding, he lost IMO. But suggesting the lines in question open the door for death wishes tells me you missed the point.

Better song then it is a diss, Royce can rap his ass off that's no secret

Too vague and technical for this type of situation tho, it's little jabs amongst a sea of mostly displaying his rapping ability, Lu was more direct and straightforward

And the name dropping in this record would make The Game proud :pachaha:

This shyt sounds awful in the whip, lol. I don't mean the song, I mean the mix or something, the vocals sound madd cruddy and muffled, it's almost hard to understand what he's saying.

I remember Camron's response to Mase sounded this same way, smh.

Royce had too many filler lines.. we already know if Lupe wanted to go super lyrical Royce couldnt compete with that either

Facts.

Part of being a great "rapper" is knowing how to rap on what beat...if he chose to go on a different, maybe more up-tempo beat he would've probably wrote in a style that would more accommodate a beat like that, "super lyrical/syllable" type shyt.

He chose that laid back, Drake-esque sort of cadence and flow because that's what best fit that style of beat...the "how" he said it coupled with the "what" he said is why he clobbered dude, fit perfectly...Royce would have tried to rap that Eminem-style, 30 words per-bar bullshyt over any beat he picked, guaranteed, lol.
