I think it's a dangerous game though.

I honestly think Royce is authentic here. When @IgnorantDwayneWayne said "He sounds like a irrationally mad father trying to find something to blame for his son’s condition." That's what it sounds like to me.

I just have so many loved ones in the healthcare field...I think the anti-vaxx shyt is getting out of hand. IF someone were to become an anti-vaxxer for financial benefit I'd think it was honestly a scum bag move, because that shyt is literally costing people (many of them kids) their lives.

Thankfully for my opinion of Royce, I don't think guys like he or Gibbs are speaking it for money.

I'm hoping it's just the emotional father piece. My parents are very level headed and progressive however never vaccinated me or my brother. Reason why is because my oldest brother almost died as a baby when he had his measles vaccinations and as a result has anxiety.

Personal experiences definitely shape perspective, often for the negative.

Too many features, and non of them were that good.

Album could use a lot more Royce verses and less everything else.

Album as some of the best content of his career, just not enough of it.

His undisputed best album imo.

I also can't get over how incredible the production is on On the Block

For me I’ll put it after Death is Certain, Bar Exam 2, and Street Hop.

Every track he has a feature on, Royce is spitting 32+ bars, so I don't see the issue of there not being a enough Royce there. More than a enough and no feature was bad. Plus with him handling all the production as well, I can see why he leaned on having a lil more features than usual.

Nah man lots of songs are short and only have one verse.

Royce is one of the few that usually still gives 2-3 verses per song.

Like the song with Kid Vishis. You seen the “full” version on LA Leakers?

That shyt was fire and should have been on the album, instead we got a wack ass verse from Kid and a bunch of extra hooks and nonsense.

As ill as Bar Exam 2 was (shyt, all of them were pretty ill, especially 2 and 4), I don't hardly count those among official releases considering that they're primarily jacking for beats and in such, also just adding one's own spin to those same songs concepts more often that not. For every 'Ding', there's three or four 'Million and One Questions', 'Got The Keys', 'Royce is Like', etc. All fire spitting for sure, but not original songs.

I'd say my top Royce albums would be:

The Allegory
Book of Ryan
Prhyme
Death Is Certain
Layers

If Prhyme doesn't count as pure solo album (does in my book since Royce is the sole rapper on there, but I digress), then just remove that and put Street Hop in 5th (Street Hop got one of my fav. Preemo/Royce cuts in 'Shake This'; Love that track!!! Beat and rhymes feel so inspirational).

Best Mixtapes:

Bar Exam 2
Bar Exam 4
Trust The Shooter
Bar Exam 1
Bar Exam 3

Kid Vishis verse was fine tho. Royce probably condensed Thou Shall in that regard (of course I seen the rest of it in the LA Leakers freestyle; I was posting bars from it in the thread, lol) just to not have it be an 8 minute song and whatnot and felt the rest was better saved as a freestyle and also added his brother to it just to break up the feel for an official album. I appreciate overkill bar tracks as much as anyone, but they do seem better suited for mixtapes and freestyles rather than a concept album.

to be fair the Bar Exam 2 Album version is a legit album it doesn’t have the jacking for beats tracks on it with 2 extra joints and one shared joint with Black Milk.

Royce spazzed

I hope he doesn’t do another pryhme, part one was dope, two was horrendous.

I was all in with you until the last line, which remind me of the no regrets, ass whipping that I had to put on you in street fighter.

I didn’t like the beats on Prhyme, I’m mean it was made that way on purpose it just wasn’t as intense as part 1, can’t vibe with it
