Royce didnt throw Joe under the buss, and people around Joe usually criticized Em and the album more than Joe.

That being said I understand why Royce would feel some type of way about Joe saying that Em's team was using the pro-black message to sell more records because he knows Em personally.

nothing will happen because of this though. and I personally agree with Joe more

Buddens wasn't wrong but u can't be critiquing the man that cut ur check

You can critique him, but when you start insinuating that he's running a con and fraudin and only speaking about the plight of black people now because it's a hot topic and he's just doing it for buzz, then you're attacking his character, isn't he supposed to be your man? Lol, call/text him and ask the questions you want answered before you go on air like a dope fiend just spazzin and lookin crazy. And the fact he didn't stand on it firmly after the fact made him look even cornier

he trashed it on everyday struggle.

i think bizarre put it the best, (as uneloquent as it was); that man put you on, your loyalty should have kept your extra comments to yourself.

as fans we all were waiting to trash joe for playing the em side, and when he didnt we were largely :gladbron:, but that loyalty should have over-ridden whatever he wanted to really say because of what em did for him. i dont care how wrong my homies are, in public the most you gonna get outta me is "they might be wrong, i gotta look at the situation again." this nikka went on a full joe budden red in the face rant...then when 50 came at his head, he just brushed it off on some "oh, 50 just promoting a movie." or when they talk about how cold 50's rap career is, he says something like "you cant just look at music..." so, you walk on those eggshells royce was talkin about for a dude you know would make this an issue (at least on social media), but go in on the dude that gave you a deal? either keep it all the way safe or all the way 100, joe.
At what point does loyalty end though? Yeah Em's label gave Slaughterhouse a deal but Budden has basically said he thinks Em fukked their album out by trying to make them make Eminem type records. He mentioned Em having his verse taking off the intro. Also he's made it sound like Em shelved their Just Blaze produced album due to some arguments with Em about the group's direction. So at this point instead of helping the group he could view Em as fukking the group over at which point the loyalty is gone. Plus his jokes about him being removed from the group chats seem like he is definitely at odds with Shady Records.

Joe shouldn't take no issue with Royce's response though. Didn't shyt on him just stated he thought Joe should've handled his criticisms differently so it'll be interesting to hear Joe's response. They're probably about to start recording sometime soon tonight so it'll be with him fresh in his emotions.

Eminem's new album does suck

on the other hand Joe Buddens is a nobody and should be kissing Eminem's feet just for signing him

Budden always been his own man tho, he's also an established indie artist who got alot of albums in his catalog. for all we know he probably never wanted to sign to Shady. He probably did because of the group and for more exposure.

Joe took it a bit further than saying "this ain't the Eminem I was looking for", which is what Royce is getting at.

He went as far as saying that "Em's team" were exploiting black people by releasing Untouchable and marketing the album as anti-trump, as if being anti-trump means pro-black or something. He also brought up Paul's move to Def Jam, whether he was qualified for the job and also pointed up that he gave someone from Complex a job over there as well which he thought was suspect from the way he brought it up.

No matter how hard he tried to weasel around "Em's team" doing xyz, it still came off like he was saying that Eminem himself was exploiting the black plight. That's beyond a music critique. Him questioning the hiring of Paul is valid, but nobody in their right mind would say that was either necessary to say or a good look. Royce actually did right by Joe and Em in this situation if you ask me.
Joe definitely OD'd with the way he went at Em and Rosenberg.

That song about the cop pulling over the black person where he’s putting himself in the black person’s shoes goes beyond just critiquing Trump. Honestly. Joe didnt even diss the album. He said he aint fukk wit the song. This nikka beats around the bush so much when it comes to Eminem and gives Em so many passes that he used to get shytted on for it. He says one negative thing and its a wrap? Damn. nikkas actin like Em was Joe’s day one nikka or somethin. Em is responsible for damn near fukkin up Joe’s career if u wanna keep it 100.

The song wasn't about Trump, it was about police brutality. But the roll out was hinged on anti-trump politics.

Joe saying he doesn't like the song is one thing. It's another to imply that the song and the marketing campaign behind it was specifically to exploit black pain. He did his best to make a distinction between Em the individual and his 'team' but there's no way you can say THAT in a public forum and just leave Em out of it, no matter how you try and dance around it. Now he's probably gonna try and get on his podcast to try and reiterate that point and still fail to separate the maker of the song from the perception of it being exploitative.

Now if you feel that was the case then you agree and are probably glad Joe said it. But me, I saw how people were fukking with him about his Eminem bias and could tell that he was uncomfortable with it and responded to those criticism like he needed to protect his integrity, which he should honesty.

Just saying don't be surprised that you don't get a warm response basically accusing somebody you dedicated a song to of exploiting black folks. I don't see how anybody can disagree with Royce, as someone in the middle of all of this responded to something concerning two of his friends.

"We walk on eggshells when talking to artists (i.e. Eminem) and that makes them (i.e. Him) make a better product"

Royce, get all the way the fukk outta here. You're really tap-dancing for Em with this bullshyt :smh:

No wonder Joe doesn't fukk with them anymore. Calling trash trash, whilst Royce and everybody else in the studio on their :dj2: to a fukking Em and Ed Sheeran joint

I feel you're point, but I also feel where their camp is coming from.

Joe could've made those same points without calling the album trash or getting personal by saying Em was using the "black plight" for album sales.

Especially considering that Em tried to save his music career from the toilet and put a lot of bread in his pocket.

I'm not saying Joe should whore his opinions out for dollars, but at the same time, there's a time and place for everything.

I think him calling Em out like that on a national show was in very poor taste, especially considering their relationship.

I'm on record as saying I can't stand Em's music, but I'm also a nikka that respects loyalty and integrity.

Joe has always come off as a bytch ass nikka that happens to make pretty dope hip hop and now makes a very good podcast.

He's an industry nikka, plain and simple.

Lol nikkas ain't working 9 to 5s he can say wtf he wants. That nikka ain't rapping with them any more and his job at the time was to give an honest critique. nikkas acting like Em got Joe off the streets need to cut it out. nikka was in the game for over a decade when he was a part of slaughterhouse and didn't gain shyt but shytty music.

i hope all 4 members of Slaughterhouse start beefing so they can get hungry again. Joe and Royce have already beefed before so none of this really surprises me...i just want some good music and no bodies to drop.
