The way I see it....if he is so passionate about this issue, he should just give up basketball and advocate for those like himself. IMO he is well spoken and would make a great rep for the right organization.

He could make a big difference if he chooses that path.

You can't be a player in today's NBA without flying, he should leave and become an ambassador or advocate or just play in China or Turkey for a few years.

The way this idiot talks about his anxiety makes him very hard to believe. He doesn't come across as a guy that is struggling with what is going on, he seems like someone who is strong in his convictions and just has no interest in bending or following rules. His bytchassness might cost him an NBA career and he doesn't seem to care.

When he gets a job as a janitor someday, he will request that the undesirable parts of the job are removed from the job description and he'll play the victim role when they say to hell with him and hire someone that will actually do the job.

This dude is the Occupy Wall Street bum of the NBA.

Nobody cares as much he'd like them to, and he's fighting a battle that he will lose 99 times out of 100, especially being an irrelevant rookie.

It'd be a different story if he had a foundation to help support him, but he doesn't. He seems more like a rebel than anything else.

:pacspit: at this dude.

I hope he gets blackballed and has to get a real job and see what kind of concessions they are gonna make for his "mental health" issues.

Even if he did play, could any team trust or count on him at this point?

Pretty much all that needs to be said. It's not like they sprung the whole "flying" thing on him out of the blue. fukk this clown. :upsetfavre:

If he's not in the NBA then his message will go on deaf ears.

He needs to be in the league, and really needs to be a GREAT player, for his message to be heard.

The problem is he is way behind in terms of his development, and I really think he wore his welcome out in Houston. Other teams would and should be hesitant to trade for him/give him a shot.

If he was in the NBA he definitely would reach more people, but at this point I doubt he'll ever see action in a game. What I meant by the message, was that even if it wasn't on a larger scale....its not like hes a complete waste...I guess I meant more or less, that if he never plays he couldnt be productive.

His passion for his cause seems to far outweight that of basketball....which if thats the case, then just give it up....so someone more deserving could have that shot.

Nah, fukk that.

If someone was more deserving they would HAVE the spot.

I understand what you're saying, but this is professional sports, probably the most fair occupation in terms of earning your job. Players gotta earn their spots.
