Hands down the BEST ALBUM of the 00's IMO

This was the first Royce album i picked up and it CHANGED MY LIFE forever! Can't even begin to describe the day i went to best buy, the day it came out and thought to myself, should i check this dude out ive been hearing a lot about him. Never looked back ever since. That whole year i would listen to it non-step, felt his anger as i was 19 at the time dealing with BS of my own. Not to mention his flow and delivery, just made him my favorite MC afterwards. Funny how he kind of dissed Joe Budden on here "My wife don't like my album, she said it holds grudges, she rather listen to joe buddens" :russ:

funny thing is Joey became one of my faves as well right after that year and now they in the same group, poetic justice :blessed:

But yeah i don't care what anyone says, this album is a CLASSIC! Premier was the icing of the cake with the "Hip Hop" lead single. "Throwback" is where he just spazzed.

funny quick story, i threw a house party that summer and right around 2 in the morning when everyone is drunk and hype, i put on this album and play "hip hop" and everyone all of sudden starts looking like :jbhmm:

then 5 seconds later :lawd::dj2:

felt like a utopia for a minute there :stylin:

damn its been 10 years? im 31 but i feel like i was in college when this dropped. and i cosign everything you say about this album. really his apex, he had some dope ones after this tho. that whole run of drunk royce was fukking fire.

Drunk Royce did "Mood Muzik" Joe budden better than Joe and that's just off one LP

Personal classic.

Always gets me though bad or tough depressing times.

He poured his heart out on this album. You could tell he was in a dark place

This is Royce best album Carlos 4th of July Brody gave him heat and he finessed that shyt, Royce at his peak.

He was so honest and sincere

Iโ€™m just seeing this thread.

Still my favorite Royce album. Itโ€™s super dark too. I donโ€™t know what negative headspace he was in when this was being made, but it made for some dope music.

The final 7 tracks are just flamer after flamer
