Ask yourself why 50 stopped trolling Ross and moved on to Diddy.
He knows Ross would roast him at his own game.
50 was roasting him, Ross said he wanted to keep it music, Banks dropped officer down, Game offered to step in and save Ross, then Gunplay got tossed like a discus, GDs shut down his tour and Ross fell back. 50 has outsold Ross whole label by himself and is the only multi plat artist to ever wear an MMG chain, These are all facts. Ross is jealous of 50, he has the sales and a certified classic and is actually respected in the streets which is Ross wants to be. Ross grew up in the suburbs, has no classics and is essentially the Donald Trump of rap with all the ducktales.

Adding Kidd Kidd to G-Unit was worse than any MMG signee.
Power started out hot and could not stick the landing at all. The spin offs have even worse writing.
Dudes comparing sales are being disingenuous as hell lol. 50 had Interscopes entire support for those first couple albums to get exposure all over the world. He had Eminem to feed him white fans. And obviously Dre and Sha Money XL to executive produce and feed him the best beats. The more 50 separated himself from the machine and relied on himself, the more garbage he dropped (Animal Ambition, Office Hours verse, etc).

None of Ross disses were hitting like that at the time. And 50 effectively had this guy under his foot in the eyes of the media and the public.
People acting like it was even or Ross got one over 50 is revisionist history.
The only reason Ross survived was because of the DIddy cosign + support, and how he went on to make Teflon Don.
Deeper Than Rap was cool, but Teflon Don is what completely erased the L from the 50 beef and put Ross on top. It was like the Men in Black memory erase thing with how everyone forgot Ross was a CO or his BMs was fukking on camera.
You make it sound like Ross was independent, but he had his own machine pushing him too.
Was it interscope? No of course not. But don't act like hov cosigns, verses, and being on def jam didn't benefit ross.

Respectfully, when has Def Jam and / or a Hov cosign helped an artist go international on a scale similar to Interscope?
And Ross as an artist pre-Teflon Don was nowhere near big enough for a big slice of the overall budget. Def Jam wasn't breaking the bank for him like Interscope was for Eminem, 50, etc.
