Or ask for a whisky sour. If they ask what kind of whisky just tell them you want maker's or or whatever they have in the well (which will be their bottom shelf stuff) no need to go fancy with mixed drinks. Maker's is a tad classier and cleaner without pointlessly breaking the bank though
