:rudy:This sounds like an overblown talking point you got from ESPN. Yes the Gay trade turned out to be good for the Grizz, but they ended up immediately missing him in the playoffs because they traded away the one player who could get his own shot at anytime. That haven't filled that void to this day.

He only played for the Raptors for a year. During that year the Raps were better than they were the previous few years before he arrived.

I don't watch or read ESPN :francis:

I know that was one of their talking points about him a few years back. I assumed you got it from them. You're a Memphis fan right? I can understand you're frustration with him, but Rudy Gay's negative impact on teams is overrated. I do remember that for a player with his tools and skills, that it wasn't a whole people lining up to sign him when he resigned with Sac tho

I'm a Thunder fan :yeshrug:

I just see teams taking the next step when Rudy Gay leaves. Same with Josh Smith. I'll never understand it because they're both talented but :yeshrug:

I think some of the criticism are warranted, but I don't agree with the overall perception of him. I don't think he's the sole reason that Toronto and Memphis took the next step when he left, just one of many factors. He didn't seem to "fit" well with the Raptors. I just think he isn't gonna carry a team as a #1 option. But that's not really his fault. It's for the teams to put him in the right position. I like him as a solid second option. Low key, Rudy Gay was one of the first victims of the analytics movement. I think that's a part of the perception about him media wise. @Malta I would like to hear how you feel about Rudy Gay's career. You always come with good insight.

No one can legit call warrior fans Bandwagon...Them joints was sold out even in that inbetween phase where Baron Davis was out and Curry was about to step up.. I guess you can call it the Monta era.

Warrior fans are better than Niner, Raider and Giants fans for sure at least when it comes to attendance and attention.

Why is it a slur?

How do people get offended by someone else fandom?

You dont get anything by being a better fan than the next person. Sports is just entertainment not something that defines us

Some people even use it as a badge of honor by continuing to support a bad organization

I see people mentioning Miami fans leaving when they thought that game was over.....you could see that at any given time for a sports event where people are sure that the game was over

People all of a sudden acted like that was something new
