:wtf: is this nikka talking about?

The Knicks, Bulls, Hawks, Cavs, and Suns were genuinely bad, young teams. Zion would have been a much better career fit for any of those teams.

The Pelicans and Lakers made it in the top 4 as two teams that underachieved and by the end of the season were tanking. LeBron James was shut down and by the end of the season even the young guys were sitting.

The Pelicans put Anthony Davis on a minutes restriction just to spite him.

The Pelicans and Lakers were TANKING.

This new system is complete bullshyt teams that deserve top picks will be continue to be screwed in years to come.

fukk Sam Hinkie and the 76ers. :pacspit:

All these NBA insider dikk heads talking about how exciting the lottery was

No nikka it was complete bullshyt :pacspit:

Not only was the results bullshyt but the program itself could be done so much better

It's not bullshyt, it happened what was going to happen. NBA for the most of the time reward trash organizations that lose money with high draft picks so they could draft a franchise player and stop losing money for NBA. It happened over and over again. Knicks are not winning #1 for a long time, they are still the most valuable franchise even when they suck. Only high market franchise I can remember who won draft lottery lately were Bulls, actually twice, a year after MJ's retirement to breathe in some relevancy to the franchise, and in 08 giving out Derrick Rose to Chicago because it's his hometown

Meanwhile they giving out picks to Pelicans, Grizzlies cause these damn teams were on the verge of relocation. I am guaranteed soon we are gonna see Charlotte winning draft lottery or Sacramento, since they got a new arena with no franchise player.

Pelicans in this decade won AD and now Zion, they are that bad they need amazing talent just to stay around there. This is the same city that lost Jazz franchise to bum ass Salt Lake City.

NOLA wasn't tanking tbh.

They know AD wants a trade and the Pels are willing to trade him (except to the Lakers....:sas2:).

With an asset like Davis, there's no need to risk him getting hurt. He's never been that durable and it would be just their luck for him to get banged up. Then his trade value dips and he magically ends up on the Lakers anyway for cheap.

Pels will trade him anywhere in the East before they look West.

The lottery was only exciting to anyone because the Lakers and Knicks both made it and the Knicks didn't win.

Replace NY and LA with Charlotte and Minnesota and the same people would be like :camby: to this format.

I think most teams start off the year by playing hard, competing ..but by the all star break, when they’re 7-31, they just give up

some of these teams have scrapped their roster hinkie-style, in hopes of drafting a young future big 3.

teams were out there competing for bottom 5 status, trying to ensure that they were going to be awful thru the next 3 seasons or so.

its all working out good tho, because the trash teams didn't fall out of the top 10 or anything. and I see teams like the suns & bulls are forced to make the right pick and address their needs.

cleveland blatantly tanked, isn't that part of why JR left?

they brought back practically the same team from last year minus LeBron.

and kevin love got hurt.

I think they started trading people off after JR already sat down.

NBA should just base it on record like the NFL.
Then about 30 games in when a team is 5-25, you would see even more blatant tanking where coaches might play core players low minutes, players missing games with mysterious injuries, etc. That’s bad for business when there are 52 games remaining and a team has completely given up.

It’s different in the NFL because there are only 16 games, and players and coaches are literally fighting for their jobs.
