Anybody blaming the cops needs their heads checked.
The sergeant told him to put on his mask because he was yelling in his officer’s face during a pandemic. And when he didn’t comply (saying he didn’t have one), that was the end of it. The sergeant didn’t press the issue and try to make him put a mask on. They gave him plenty of opportunities, but they couldn’t overlook him knocking someone out to the point of there being mad blood on the ground.
This wasn’t CTE, this was a man with anger issues. His head was clouded cuz he was pissed off (that’s why he mistakenly said Papa John). He desperately wanted to hit something, and since the Pizza Hut employee didn’t want to come out and he was lucid enough to know better than to hit a cop, he released that anger on his own fukking cousin who was looking out for his freedom and well being.
Dude clearly needs some mental help dealing with his anger issues. Instead he gets sent to jail (likely released not long after, cuz it’s not that big of a crime) being put in an environment that only exacerbates his ailments. It’s not surprising to read that he committed a more serious offense not long after this and without ever getting the help he needs he’s destined to spiral out until he does something even more serious to land him in prison for a significant amount of time or worse, dead. Sad all around.
