MusicIconPlay.comis reporting that M.O.P.'s lawsuit against John Cena and WWE has been voluntarily dismissed by the group. The lawsuit alleged that WWE illegally obtained the rights to a sample from their song "Ante Up" to be included in Cena's "My Time is Now" entrance theme.

Attorneys for the rap duo claim that they turned down WWE's initial request to sample the song, but WWE later got clearance from Next Level Publishing. M.O.P. claimed that the clearance was illegal because the office worker that granted WWE permission misrepresented their position.

M.O.P. sought an undisclosed sum of damages from WWE for all proceeds made from the song and that the track be recalled in their lawsuit.

As of this writing, M.O.P. has not released a statement clarifying if they reached an out-of-court settlement with World Wrestling Entertainment.

The dismissal of the lawsuit will allow John Cena to continue to use the "My Time Is Now" theme song.
