I was just listening to Charles' music the other day. And thinking to myself how this dude blew what could have been an amazing mainstream music career, just because he wanted to try waaay to damn hard to be "Different" (weirdo)

If u talmbout that "Faultlines" documentary, I've seen it.
If gives an understanding to his life but I still stand by what I said. CH just tried too hard to be "Different" and beefed (baited people in beefing) with him and did way much dumb shyt over the course of his career.
He beefed with his own labelmate Soulja boy for no damn real reason.
Him and Uncle Luke had a small spat with each other
Made up this huge lie saying J.Dilla was the EP of his debut album, even doubled down saying Ma Dukes giving him the blessing to do so (Of course that was a lie)
He refused to let interscope manage his large vast body of music (The vast majority of those mixtapes CH released interscope wanted to turn those into album)

(After interscope dropped him) he tried to bait Eminem into beefing with him.
And let me not get started on how week in and week out CH constantly kept tying himself into knots with his weekly blog posts
Trust me dude I'm (was) a big Charles Hamilton fan, I really wanted that dude to have next, CH was his own worst enemy, he blew a great career of a lifetime.

I think he could have made some noise if not for the mental illness but I'm not sure he would have taken off. GOOD always prioritized guys who could write a hook (Big Sean) over guys who could just write bars (Cyhi). Most likely situation would be him dropping a couple albums on GOOD that undersold, followed by an independent career where he gave fans what they wanted but never surpassing the minor success of his major label albums.
