Hardly, but it's possible the so-so Death Stranding sales might have made them think twice about letting Kojima go off the wall with another new IP.do they really need the Silent Hills IP for Kojima to make a horror game?
they should call it "Psychological Terror" so everyone can call it "PT"Hardly, but it's possible the so-so Death Stranding sales might have made them think twice about letting Kojima go off the wall with another new IP.

It might have, I don't know about the PC sales. I only remember that the initial sales for PS4 weren't on par with expectations. Doesn't necessarily mean it flopped but for the first full game that got Kojima's name attached to it outside of MGS I think expectations were higher.I thought it did ok for a new ip? Did they not get good sales when the PC version dropped?

I agree. It's the only reason I could think of for Kojima wanting to make Silent Hills in particular rather than just putting his own twist on a new horror game. Especially if Guillermo del Toro also is going to be involved like he originally was with PT and Silent Hills. Feels that with that kind of talent they don't need to rely on an existing IP.It's only so much you can do with the type of game it is and how it was presented. Sony got what they wanted though a prestige developer and studio working under their banner.
People look at it funny, but if you clock Sony and how they work with talent they put the developer first and worry about all the other shyt later. Ico, Shadow of the colossus, The Last Gaurdian, Gran Turismo team, Siren team look at how they allow these games or studios the freedom to do what they want and only GT is a "big seller". If Xbos is Netflix, Sony is trying to be HBO and they want the prestige titles and creators under their umbrella making shyt for them no matter the niche.
Yeah they want the money too but they invest in talent.
after Trash Stranding, i won't be touching this game unless it gets all 10s across the board.
Death Stranding is a terrible game though.what a dumb fukking comment lol
It’s not (it’s not some masterpiece either tho) but I was referring to only buying a game if it had nothing but 10/10sDeath Stranding is a terrible game though.
Not with those fragile fingers you won't.I’ll throw a stick in your wheel chairs spokes. Leave me alone

I believe Junji Ito was involved in art direction.I'm definitely copping when Silent Hills comes out but no way I'd ever finish that shyt
