Boba Fett was like the Darth Maul of the OT. He had essentially no character but that makes him perfect for something like this. He's a blank canvas. They could make him a legitimately good character, and not just somebody who looks cool.

When in reality, he really has no character to begin with. The only thing that gave him character was the prequels but of course no one will acknowledge those willingly so it really doesn't matter. Michael or whomever gets a blank canvas to do their thing on
