St Louis and Kansas City despise the nba especially the cac's there

No basketball team wil lever be as big as the Kansas jayawks in KC

They don't really despise the NBA here. It's just the fact that there hasn't been a team here in so long, and the local support for the Cardinals, Rams, and Blues outweigh any support for the NBA in general. If there is a decent product here they'd show up in good numbers. The biggest problem is that I don't know if we really can support 4 pro sports teams. I might be wrong though because St. Louis has the 7th most Fortune 500 companies in the country, so there might be enough corporate support to make it happen.

ATL…overly
Seattle & Richmond would be the best bets. Pro basketball tradition in both cities, fan bases big enough to support a team...

what about Louisville? Wasn't the Yum Arena constructed in an effort to lure a team there?...

I always thought it was odd that for all the basketball tradition that Kentucky has, they don't have an NBA team.

Yup. The Yum Center was made with the NBA in mind. It's also a better arena than pretty much every current NBA arena.

The problem is, The University of Louisville has a crazy contract with the Yum Center, which gives them a big cut of profits for any event held in the building. Basically, if a NBA team were to come to Louisville and play in the Yum Center, the University of Louisville would make more money off ticket sales and concessions than the NBA team would. So obviously no NBA team would come here with that deal in place. The city has tried to get the University to renegotiate the deal, but the University ain't changing shyt. Basically theyre trying to blackball the NBA from coming here because they're afraid their sponsorship money and luxury suite sales will suffer. shyt sucks.
