Rumor: Nintendo NX won’t compete with PS4 in terms of power...

According to a Twitter user with a decent rumor track record, Nintendo doesn’t intend the upcoming NX console to compete with the PlayStation 4 on a “power level”, meaning that Nintendo isn’t looking to match or surpass the PS4 in terms of hardware and graphics.

The rumor comes from Twitter user Tamaki, who was the first one to break the news of the Fallout 4 Pipboy Edition and the one to leak the upcoming Uncharted Trilogy remaster for the PS4.

Apparently, he “talked to the right” people, who told him that Nintendo won’t be competing on hardware power. Which wouldn’t be a huge surprise — the last time Nintendo tried to upstage the other consoles with more powerful hardware was with the GameCube in 2001.

However, considering where the market is going (towards realistic-looking games and powerful consoles), it would seem that Nintendo is betting against the market. They did that with the Wii U and it didn’t turn out that well.

We’ll have to wait and see what the Nintendo NX has in store for us. Nintendo talked about the console to third parties at E3 last month, and got a positive reception.

We also know that the company will still support the Wii U and 3DS while working on the NX.

Not surprised nintendo stubborn as fukk probably gonna be another gimmick console. They need to start throwing out more first and exclusive third party games. Having long ass droughts throughout the year is not the business.

Even though that's disappponting, we shouldn't be surprised. If they were building a high powered console, they wouldn't be able to keep it a secret like they have. I read some rumor on in that said the console will come out in Spring 2016. No fukking way they build a respectable system that fast. Mark my words, this will be the last nintendo console. Nintendo has fukked up so bad with the Wii U, and theit image has taken such a hit recently, that they won't be able to recover. No one wants to fukk with their trash systems anymore, and i dont blame them.

What I'd like to know is who's calling the shots? Whoever it is, he has been making the same mistakes for years, and is about to make the same mistake with the nx

It's too late for Nintendo to come out with a high powered console. Everyone expects the cartoony-mario type games from them, that's what they're used to making and selling, so if they tried to start pushing a "realistic" console they would likely fail miserably.

I'd actually like to see nintendo get bought out by a bigger company like google. The company could gut nintendo and redo it's mission and vision and actually make the company innovative again.
